Several Yemeni provinces have witnessed a rise in violations attributed to the Houthi group in recent days, affecting civilians and public and private property, amid growing human rights condemnations and calls to halt these practices.
Local sources reported that the violations include arbitrary arrests, house raids, forced levies, and restrictions on public and media freedoms. Reports also indicate the continued recruitment of minors and their involvement in frontline combat, in clear violation of international law.
Human rights organizations stressed that these actions exacerbate the suffering of the population, amid deteriorating humanitarian and economic conditions, urging the international community to pressure for an end to the violations and ensure civilian protection
